Video: South Yorkshire road blocked off as armed police deal with ongoing incident

Armed police are currently in attendance at an ongoing incident on a South Yorkshire street.

Local residents have captured the scene on a South Yorkshire road as armed police continue to respond to an ongoing incident.

Armed police arrived at the house on Wensleydale Road, Scawsby in Doncaster at around 3.30pm this afternoon after concerns were raised for a resident.

Kyle Morgan posted a video of the scene on Facebook showing a police car blocking off the road.

Reports on social media suggest that the man could be armed with an air rifle but this has not been confirmed by police.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Armed police and specialist officers are currently at the property and Wensleydale Road, Doncaster remains closed at this time.”
