Promising defender Osaze Urhoghide has been handed a surprise debut for Sheffield Wednesday's FA Cup third round clash at Brighton and Hove Albion this afternoon.

Urhoghide, who moved to Hillsborough on a free transfer last summer following the expiry of his AFC Wimbledon deal, is one of six changes made by Owls manager Garry Monk.

The 19-year-old, a centre-half by trade, is expected to line up at right-back. Urhoghide has featured regularly for the Owls' development squad this season, operating in both his favoured centre-half role as well as full-back.

Midfielders Kieran Lee, Massimo Luongo and Joey Pelupessy return to the starting XI and there are also recalls for Jacob Murphy and top-scorer Steven Fletcher.

Wednesday are winless in 20 FA Cup matches against Premier League opponents (D6 L14) since winning 2-1 against Sheffield United in the 1992-93 semi-final.

Owls: Dawson; Urhoghide, Borner, Iorfa, Fox; Lee, Luongo, Pelupessy, Reach; Murphy, Fletcher.
