New Sheffield restaurant with focus on luxury British Wagyu beef is set to open this week

Based across the north with sites in Manchester, York, Harrogate, Beverley and Hull, Solita’s seventh restaurant will soon call West One in the city centre home.

It is the only restaurant chain where all the beef served is 100 per cent British Wagyu, including its burgers, steaks, hotdogs and even its beef dripping. Wagyu beef is valued higher than other types of beef, especially in Japan, due to its rich marbling and buttery taste.

A spokesman said: “Solita takes the luxury of this premium quality meat and combines it with the relaxed atmosphere of casual dining, making the perfect spot to unwind with friends whilst enjoy award-winning eats.

“The menu will see a whole host of burgers, wings, hotdogs, cocktails and more for the people of Sheffield to take eating out to a whole new level.

“Solita prides itself on its commitment to only using 100 per cent British Wagyu, meaning it is the tastiest beef there is! Bred specifically for its high marbling, this premium meat is known for its amazing texture and flavour.”

The beef served at the restaurant is UK bred and zero import, which the company says cuts down on the environmental impact of your plate.

CEO of parent company Shoot the Bull, Chris Harrison, said: “Here at Solita, we’ve always loved Sheffield as a city, and it’s been a goal of ours to bring The Home of the Wagyu Burger here.

“When we heard of the opening of the site on West One we knew it was the perfect opportunity to make that dream a reality and create Solita Sheffield.

“Solita has grown from two sites to seven, since 2020, and we’re showing no signs of slowing down. We hope that the people of Sheffield love Solita just as much as fellow northerners who have been enjoying our new openings.”

Solita Sheffield plans to open its doors on June 4 2021 and will seat 150 covers. Its reservation diary will open soon.
