Are you a cook?
With two young children, I try and cook everything from scratch.

Any cooking tips?
Make it easy! I don’t weigh anything, just throw it in and hope for the best.

What’s your favourite dish?
Anything to do with seafood or fish – especially salmon with shallots, white wine, king prawns and cream.

And a drink to go with it?
Champagne, or a nice G & T.

Your favourite restaurant in the Sheffield area?
The Old Vicarage at Ridgeway for special occasions.

And pub?
Henry’s in the city centre holds some memories, but I’m really enjoying the Prince of Wales in Ecclesall.

What’s the worst meal you’ve ever had?
On holiday in the Maldives I ordered a starter that came with a piece of raw salmon, raw tuna and raw swordfish. I asked the waiter to take it back and cook it for me!

And the best?

Sheffield fishcake at the old Blue Room. A proper fishcake with potato on a bed of mushy peas – yummy!

Your favourite TV cook?
Gino D’Acampo – I like what he cooks and he’s easy on the eye! Also, Jamie Oliver – I love his ethos of throwing it all in the pan, just like me.

What do you think of Sheffield as a place to eat out?
It offers a great variety of places to go and there are some fab places to take children. Relish on Ecclesall Road always hits the spot as does The Inn at Troway.
