Are you a cook?

No! I eat anything and go anywhere, but I’m pretty rubbish at cooking. That said, I try and I’m getting better.

Any cooking tips?

Season your food to spice it up a bit— mine has been too bland.

What’s your favourite dish?

I always seem to be dieting, so I usually go for protein with salad. I’ll say a salmon fillet with a Caesar salad.

And a drink to go with it?

Diet Coke, thanks!

Your favourite restaurant in the Sheffield area?

Van Dykes at Clowne, serving modern British food. But I do love a carvery, so can I add Moorlands at Owler Bar?

And pub?

Not a pub person, so I’d go for All Bar One: a mixed aged group and good atmosphere.

What’s the worst meal you’ve ever had?

An Indian. Sitting in coats in the freezing cold and hardly any food left on the buffet.

And the best?

Paella in Marbella, surrounded by all my family. It’s place, company and atmosphere that make the meal.

Your favourite TV cook?

I used to tutor adults with learning difficulties and they all loved Nigella. I do enjoy the Great British Bake Off too.

What do you think of Sheffield as a place to eat out?

I’m always glad to get back to Sheffield, but there’s too much the same around the Mosborough area. If you travel further afield, there’s a lot more variety.
