Rambling: Sheffield Walkers
SUNDAY FEBRUARY 2TIDESWLL DALE, MONSAL TRAIL AND WORMHILL
From the car park, the group will take the easy track into Tideswell Dale following the pretty Brook Head. On reaching Litton Mill they head up to the Monsal Trail, which will be followed for some distance, passing along the way disused lime kilns. The old Millers Dale station provides a toilet stop. After crossing a viaduct, a grassy path will lead down to a bridge where we cross the River Wye. Then follows a stiff uphill to the village of Wormhill where there will be a lunch break. Grade: Moderate. Distance: 8.5 miles. Details at sheffieldwalkers.org.uk.
