Dearne Valley Ramblers.

This walk starts with a flat path to Leadmill Bridge, where we start to climb gradually and then steeply past Hoghall. The route levels out for a while, as we follow an undulating track to Stoke Ford, where it can be very muddy. From here there is a steady ascent to the edge of Offerton Moor, where it levels out towards Shatton Moor, for the splendid views that the Hope Valley offers. (Lunch here weather permitting). There are about 20 stiles and/or gates on this route. It will take about 4.5 hours, with lunch stop. 8.5miles.
