A Sheffield theatre school is moving to a new bigger base due to its success.

Razzamataz theatre school, currently based at Sheffield College in Norton, is moving across the road to Meadowhead Secondary School, Dyche Lane.

The school opened in Sheffield two years ago and is run by principal Helen Green, aged 25.

The Sheffield branch has just been announced as the top performing school in the Razzamataz network, which won national recognition after an appearance on Dragons’ Den in 2007.

Classes for children – aged two to 18 – will run every Saturday during term time.

The school’s facilities include purpose-built dance and drama, recording studios and music rooms.

Rachel Croft, business manager at Meadowhead, said: “Performing arts is a huge part of Meadowhead and it’s great we can share our facilities with a school with the same values.”
