Hikers chanced upon a rare waterfall at Ladybower Reservoir this week.
High water levels brought on by heavy rainfall over consecutive days meant water started to flow over the top of the dam at the reservoir in the Peak District.
The dam is one of three in the Derwent Valley made famous by the Dambusters training missions in World War Two. The River Derwent flows through Howden, Derwent and Ladybower reservoirs.
