Paul Winterburn and Jane Dunning gave themselves the perfect Christmas present last year, when they gave up high-powered careers in to take over their favourite café...
A year on, the Arthouse in Penistone is celebrating its fresh success with a new drinks licence, a new menu – and plans for a new events space upstairs.
Former banker Paul and Jane, a lecturer in cookery and nutrition, have been supported by Enterprising Barnsley.
Paul says: “We’ve always loved the Arthouse Café and when the opportunity came up to buy the place we couldn’t resist. One of the best things for me is the 10-minute commute instead of 20 hours by plane to the Philippines!”
PEACE OF CAKE
Peace and goodwill come free with the refreshments at 1554, Sheffield Cathedral’s new coffee shop.

OPEN HOUSE AT NONNAS
