The dancers may be coming next week, but this week the Motorpoint Arena in Attercliffe belonged to 24,000 children.
Primary schools have been rehearsing for Young Voices since September, and the results were heard over four nights.
The event is in its 17th year, and sees children from across the region take part in a two-hour show, this year with X-Factor star Stacey Solomon.
It’s a chance for primary school children to perform all styles of music alongside top artists, watched by fellow pupils, family and friends.
Young Voices’ managing director Ben Lewis said Sheffield was a highlight of the schedule. “The children know this is where all the biggest stars play and yet here is their chance to be in the spotlight. They are the stars of this show.”
*Strictly Come Dancing is on Tuesday and Wednesday.
