Artist Mister Finch is pictured here making the final adjustments to a six foot fantasy bird called Penelope, a Blue Crowned Princess - part of a new exhibition at the Millennium Gallery.

The exhibition showcases highlights from a remarkable collection of ornithological prints amassed by the Victorian collector, Thomas Eyton, many of which have not been displayed for over 30 years.

The historical works will be complemented by a new large-scale sculpture created especially for the exhibition by Mister Finch, who is an acclaimed Leeds-based contemporary artist.

The prints include John James Audubon’s Hooping Crane (1834) and Edward Lear’s Red and Yellow Maccaw (1832).
