Bad weather forces circus to switch venues

A circus currently wowing crowds in Doncaster has been forced to switch shows at a forthcoming venue due to bad weather.

Planet Circus, which is at Doncaster Racecourse until Sunday, has changed venue for its upcoming visit to our South Yorkshire neighbours Barnsley.

The show will be at Barnsley Football Club's Oakwell Stadium from March 16-20.

The circus was previously due to be held at Grange Lane in the town.

The big top is currently alongside Doncaster Racecourse on Leger Way and hundreds of people are expected to pack in over the next few days for a feast of fun and entertainment.

This year's show, entitled OMG, features a string of top class performers from around the globe and will be in town until Sunday.

Producer and director Mark Whitney today said : ‘This is circus for a whole new generation of families.

The big top is in Doncaster until Sunday with performances at 5pm and 7.30pm on weekdays, 2pm and 5pm on Saturday and 1pm and 3.30pm on Sunday.

Tickets are available from the on site box office which is open from 9.30am to 8pm each day. Tickets can be booked on 0756 3722 7206.
