Bishop gives blessing to music festival

ONE of the hottest new names on the UK music scene will appear at an open-air festival in the city centre with the blessing of the Bishop of Sheffield.

Mumzy Stranger will play at the One Sheffield Many Cultures launch in Barkers Pool on Saturday, April 30, part of a Bank Holiday weekend with local bands and dance groups from different cultures. Organisers include faith leaders, City of Sanctuary, Hope not Hate, Love Music Hate Racism and trade unions.

“This will be a joyful demonstration of all that is good and positive in Sheffield,” said the Bishop of Sheffield , the Rt Rev Steven Croft.
