Sheffield author John Broom has written a book about opposition to World War Two.

The inheritance of 170 letters written by his late father between 1940 and 1946 sparked a passion in the University of Sheffield history graduate and teacher to discover links between warfare and religion. Opposition to the Second World War, Conscience, Resistance and Service in Britain, 1933–45, is published by Pen & Sword Books.
