Boxing: Sheffield's Tommy Frank being primed for title tilt
Promoter Dennis Hobson has eyes on a title tussle between Sheffield's Tommy Frank and Brad Watson from Guernsey.
Watson was the man who ended the 10-match unbeaten record of another Sheffielder, Loua Nassa, in February.
"We've got Tommy Frank and Brad Watson in our stable, and we're trying to put a fight together between them for the English title, and maybe an eliminator" said Hobson.
"Tommy has star quality, and I manage Brad and think a lot of him.
'I had Ross Burkinshaw, I got him a Commonwealth title and up to eighth in the world, and I believe Tommy and Brad have more ability than him.
"So, who knows where we can get to with them?
"I'm looking to do a show with Martin Ward and Jazza Dickens in the Northeast, with Phil Jeffries and Dave Garside.
"After that we're hoping to do a Sheffield show with Frank and Watson, if they can be matched.
"Then in November I might be working with Stefy Bull on a show. So, it's a busy schedule towards the end of the year."
Super flyweight Frank, recently pulled out of a potential contest with Kyle Yousaf, has eight wins on his record and has boxed twice this year.
