Insolvency drop

Business insolvencies have fallen in Yorkshire, but the proportion of the region’s businesses hitting finacial problems remains high at more than one in 10, according to global information services company Experian.

It says Yorkshire insolvencies fell by 10 per cent between July 2011 and July 2012.

Although the failure rate rose in the East Midlands, the percentage of the business population failing was slightly lower than in Yorkshire.
