Blundells has strengthened its senior management team by appointing Steve Hinshelwood as managing director.
Mr Hinshelwood, pictured, who has worked for Blundells for 10 years, will be working with the board, management team and staff to ensure that the company offer the best range of services and products and levels of customer service in order to build on their position as market leader.
He said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as Managing Director and look forward developing my new role within the company.
“The recent economic climate has been a testing time for our sector and with the predicted public sector cuts and limited mortgage finance we are continuing to operate within a challenging climate.
“Realistically the volume of sales transactions in 2011 is likely to be similar to 2010 therefore remaining well below historical levels. However our sales and mortgage activity in January is very encouraging and the rental market continues to go from strength to strength.
“I am very much looking forward to working with our fantastic staff to ensure we continue to deliver outstanding customer service to our clients and strengthen our market leading position.”
