Junior Chamber International (JCI) Sheffield has launched an academy to help support and develop young business leaders of the future in Sheffield.
The academy will support personal and professional development and offer a formally recognised framework to help achieve success, and count towards CPD and other professional development awards.
An event to launch the academy took place at The Wig & Pen in Sheffield and was an opportunity to celebrate new President, Kate Senter’s recent success, winning a prestigious national award for her role as vice president.
Kate Senter, who is internal communications manager at Sheffield based Irwin Mitchell said, “The launch was a fantastic way to bring together existing and new members to hear about the academy and plans for JCI Sheffield in 2011.
“The team in Sheffield is growing, with members from a range of sectors able to network and forge links. It’s an exciting time and we have some fantastic events and training sessions lined up.”
Junior Chamber International specialises in the personal development of young business people and professionals in their twenties and thirties, holding networking, training and social events.
JCI Sheffield has members from across the business community including legal, financial, engineering, also creative and digital sectors.
