A SHEFFIELD-born designer is launching an independent female fashion label in her home city with a catwalk show next month featuring local models.

Harper Women’s Wear (HWW), the brainchild of Keeley Hardy, will offer a range of women’s fashion, all original designs and hand-crafted, aimed at mid to high end fashion boutiques.

They will be unveiled at a catwalk show, modelled by local models, in Leopold Square on Sunday afternoon, August 21.

HWW, which joins a growing independent fashion label scene in the city with a collection which ranges from exclusive party dresses to dresses suitable for office wear, will also feature its own jewellery manufactured by Sheffield’s Jessica Flynn.

“This is a monumental moment for me,” said Keeley. “I’m thrilled to be launching the line in my home city and hope that the women of Yorkshire and beyond can enjoy my designs. I’m passionate about creating affordable clothes but yet unique pieces for today’s thoroughly modern woman.”

Keeley studied fashion at Sheffield College and went on to work for clothing store Strand in Leeds. For the past ten years she has worked as a buyer for boutiques in the region.

HWW launches its online shop to coincide with the catwalk show and is currently securing boutiques and independents to stock the brand.
