A brand new bargain store has opened its doors in Sheffield.

Bargain Buys, located at Drakehouse Retail Park, launched by the same family behind Poundworld, has created 20 retail jobs.

The new store will provide customers with offers and low prices on products including branded groceries, cleaning products, home wares, pet care, gardening and toys.

As part of its opening celebrations, Bargain Buys raised funds for Rotherham charity Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, which provides care and support to families who have a child or young person who has a shortened life expectancy.

Chris Edwards, managing director at Bargain Buys, said: “We’re thrilled to open a new Bargain Buys store in Sheffield and we’re delighted with the response so far.”

Rachael Dawes, corporate fundraiser at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, added: “We are really pleased that Bargain Buys in Sheffield have chosen us as their charity, the money raised will make a huge positive difference to our children and families from across South Yorkshire and beyond.

“It costs over £3 million a year to run our hospice and community services so we are very grateful for such fantastic support.”
