SHEFFIELD will be one of the first cities in the UK to benefit from the new 4G superfast mobile internet service, it has been announced.
The city is one of 16 locations to get the pioneering 4G technology, which enables access to superfast internet, before the end of the year.

Digital communication company Everything Everywhere, which will now be known as EE, is investing £11.8m in network infastructure in the Sheffield region alone.
All six Orange and T-Mobile stores in Sheffield are also to become EE stores, said the firm.

“We look forward to connecting the country with superfast mobile speeds in the coming weeks, months and years.”
