The Star Small Business Awards are just days away, when all eyes will be on our 30 outstanding contenders.
They are the elite few shortlisted in our new competition which promises a ceremony focused on fun, a chance to make friends and a celebration of dynamic, exciting and mostly unsung companies and individuals who have made a huge impression on the newspaper and in the city.
The awards are sponsored by Shorts Chartered Accountants, law firm Lupton Fawcett, MK Public Relations and Azzure IT.
The ceremony on Thursday July 19 is hosted by Virgin Money Lounge, on Fargate in Sheffield city centre.
Holly Garforth, Virgin Money Lounge events and promotions manager, explained why they went for it.
“We’re delighted to be hosting these awards at our Virgin Money Lounge in Sheffield City Centre. It’s a real honour to welcome in some of the leading small businesses from the Sheffield City Region.
“Over the last 40 years, the Virgin brand has become synonymous with business and innovation and wanting to make a positive difference.
“Now we want to put that passion and experience to good use, with Virgin Money helping UK businesses to save, grow and thrive.
“We’re excited about being able to make a real difference to businesses all around the UK, with our new range of savings accounts and free Lounges for business customers. And this is just the start of our journey.”
