Buxton Festival Fringe has more than 70 entries already signed up for 2014 in all categories of the Fringe programme including theatre, visual arts, music and comedy.
They range from Dracula’s Women by Butterfly Theatre underground at Poole’s Cavern to a chance to meet Oscar Wilde in his prison cell courtesy of Olivier-nominated actor Gerard Logan.
Comic highlights include Radio 4’s Maxine Jones and magic duo Morgan & West and an expanding Visual Arts section features the Great Dome Art Fair as well as Dr Sketchy Sheffield with a life-drawing workshop boasting semi-naked burlesque performers.
There is still time for performers to sign up for this year’s Fringe. There are two more deadlines: for performers who enter before March 31, the Fringe fee is £65. The final deadline for inclusion in the printed programme, published in early June, is April 20, with April entries charged at the full cost of £80.
