Volunteer Diana Stimely thanked those who donated 'from the bottom of my heart'.

She added: "We are looking for CCTV cameras and new doors and windows for the shop.

"The manager of the farm is getting quotes for these. A new manager is starting on April 1 for the park and farm, and I am having a meeting to discuss with the new manager what work will be done and when.

"Graves Park Animal Farm provides such pleasure to families so we must make sure the security of the farm is in place "
