Enthusiastic crossbreed lurcher Marble - named after his beautiful blue merle marbled coat - is looking for a loving owner to give him a new home.

Marble is just two years old, and was taken in by the RSPCA Sheffield branch through no fault of his own.

RSPCA Sheffield branch animal care manager, Tony Benham, said: “Marble is a fabulous lurcher cross who loves running around with his squeaky toys and is lots of fun.

“He gets on with everyone and, due to his lovely nature, he would settle well into most homes.”

Marble should be able to live with another dog following successful meet-and-greets at the dog centre on Stadium Way, Attercliffe.

“He really enjoys training at the centre, especially when there is a bit of cheese involved!” Tony added.

Marble will need walking twice a day for 30 minutes a time, and would be most comfortable in a home where any children are over the age of eight.

Marble has no known health problems – but definitely does not like cats.
