The event is being held along the South Yorkshire Navigation canal in Mexborough, Doncaster, as part of the UK-wide 'Keep Britain Tidy - Great British Spring Clean' event.

Those who want to take part are asked to meet near the bridge over the canal at Station Road on Saturday at 10am. It will focus on litter picking around the canal and Ferryboat Lane areas.

The day before this event pupils from Mexborough Academy will be doing a litter pick around the school area from 10am to 2pm.

‎Refreshments will be provided by social enterprise Food AWARE CIC. It has been organised by a range of organisations including the Canal & River Trust, Doncaster Council, Mexborough councillors, Swinton Lock Activity Centre and the Royal British Legion.
