A COMPLEX diagram sent to households as part of consultation about traffic restrictions in part of Sheffield has left residents bewildered.
People living around Abbey Lane, between Woodseats and Beauchief, received the communication to ask for their views on a possible lorry ban.
But the diagram of lorries’ movements, which had arrows and figures showing the volume of traffic making different turns on the section of route, left some residents flummoxed.
Coun Leigh Bramall, Sheffield Council’s cabinet member for environment and transport, said: “A small number of people have commented that this information could have been presented more clearly, and we will take this on board for the future.”
Coun Bramall added: “The purpose of this letter, approved by the South Community Assembly and sent to 1,300 homes on its behalf, was to get people’s views.”
