An armed raider escaped with cash after holding up a bookmakers in a quiet Sheffield suburb - the second robbery there this year.

The man entered the Coral shop on Bradway Road, Bradway shortly before 5pm on Saturday afternoon with what appeared to be a handgun.

He demanded money from staff and left with a quantity of cash.

Nobody was injured during the robbery and police are appealing for witnesses.

The same bookmakers was held up in April when robbers armed with a gun and a hammer threatened staff before escaping with a substantial amount of cash.

Witnesses to the latest robbery should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 716 of 6 December 2014, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
