Police find car believed to be involved in hit-and-run in Sheffield

Police officers investigating a serious collision in Sheffield have issued another appeal for information.

A 40-year-old cyclist was seriously injured after he was struck by a car, which failed to stop, on Hathersage Road, Dore.

Police have recovered a black Honda Civic Type R car, with the registration number YG51 RWP, which they believe was involved in a collision on Wednesday, April 29.

It was recovered by officers in Netheredge on Monday, May 10.

Police believe it has undergone repairs since the collision and want to hear from anyone who recognises the number plate.

Three men arrested in connection with the incident have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 854 of April 29.
