Serious sex assault on woman in Endcliffe Park, Sheffield

An 18-yearold woman was subjected to a serious sexual assault by a man in a popular Sheffield park.

The teen was attacked in Endcliffe Park at around 4am on Saturday.

Police said the assault was an ‘isolated incident’, but people who saw or heard anything suspicious around Clarkehouse Road, the Botanical Gardens, Endcliffe Vale Road and Endcliffe Park between 3am and 5am are being asked to come forward.

The suspect is described as white, of a slim build, and in his early to mid 20s.

He wore dark clothing, had short, strawberry blond or light brown hair, and was around 5ft 8ins tall.

DI Vicky Short, from South Yorkshire Police, said: “This appears to be at isolated incident and we are working hard to find the man responsible.”
