Two men have admitted involvement in a firearms incident in Sheffield on the same night that a man was shot dead in the city.

Bothers Corrie Allen, aged 24 and Christopher Allen, 18, pleaded guilty to charges relating to an incident at the Embassy Club, Mansfield Road, Intake, during which a gun was fired.

Allen senior, of Windy House Lane, Manor, who has been remanded in custody, admitted possession of an illegal weapon with intent to cause fear or violence.

His younger brother, formerly of the same address, who is on bail, admitted affray.

They are both set to be sentenced in January.

The offence on Saturday, June 21, happened on the same night that Grant Bodell, 29, of Windy House Lane, Manor, was found with fatal gunshot wounds.
