A supermarket delivery driver returned to his van to find that it had been broken into.

The van was parked in Norton Park Crescent, Norton, Sheffield, when the thief struck.

Police officers in Sheffield are investigating a number of thefts from vehicles, including power tool stolen from Westfield Crescent, Mosborough and three drills stolen from Seagrave Crescent, Gleadless Townend.

Number plates were taken from vehicles parked in Shortbrook Close, Westfield and Hazlebarrow Road, Jordanthorpe and an exhaust was taken from a van in Machon Bank Road, Nether Edge.

Vehicle owners have also reported thefts in Sheffield Road, Hackenthorpe; Lancing Road, Highfield; Wollaton Drive, Totley; Downing Road, Greenhill and Dore Road, Dore.
