A South Yorkshire police officer convicted of drink driving has been dismissed at a misconduct hearing.

PC Adam Walker, aged 33, a traffic officer, has been suspended since he was found to be over the limit while driving to work in Sheffield last December. Last month city magistrates fined him £475 and disqualified him from driving for 12 months.

Now he has been dismissed from his job at a misconduct hearing chaired by Chief Constable David Crompton.
