Derbyshire students reunite after African adventure

A group of 26 students who went on a life-changing expedition to Africa have been awarded special certificates to mark their efforts.

The 15 and 16-year-olds from Derbyshire went to Namibia where they rebuilt a primary school playground and coached pupils in touch rugby.

The group, from five schools in the north east of the county, were reunited at Bolsover Council’s headquarters in Clowne.

They were accompanied on the trip by leaders from the British Expedition Society and teachers from each school.
