Hallam lecturer scoops top award

A LECTURER at Sheffield Hallam University has been acclaimed as one of the most inspirational in the country.

Claire Craig, a senior lecturer in occupational therapy, took a £10,000 prize and became a National Teaching Fellow in the annual awards that recognise outstanding contribution to the learning experience.

She was one of 55 lecturers and learning staff chosen from hundreds of nominations by higher education institutions.

Claire said: “I try to inspire students to reach their full potential, and am always keen to demonstrate to them that learning is far more than just being lectured at, by using a range of scenarios and environments to enrich the learning experience.”
