Helping hand for parents

SHEFFIELD’S Parent Lifeline is to launch a new course called Holding it Together.

A spokesperson for the organisation said: “Over the years we have had many calls on our helpline from parents who are divorced or separated and it is clear that this is one of the most difficult and upsetting times for all concerned. So we have devised a short course of four sessions that aim to help parents in this situation.

“Many parents are also anxious about the effect on their children of being separated from one of their parents and the sessions will include material on helping children.’’

The course will take place on four Thursday evenings starting on June 23 from 7-9 pm. A small administration fee of £5 covers all four sessions.
