New spin on student flats

The Gatecrasher ‘superclub’ burned to the ground, but its influence will live on in an internal courtyard of student flats due to be built on the Arundel Street site.

It has been designed as a DJ’s turnable. Council permission was granted on Tuesday for accommodation for up to 245 students. Involved in the project are City Estates, DLP Planning Consultants, Cartwright Pickard Architects and DEP Landscape Architecture.
