Author to appear at Sheffield wildlife meeting

Writer and environmental campaigner Dr Mark Avery will be this year’s speaker at Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust’s annual general meeting.

Dr Avery worked for the RSPB for 25 years, including a 13-year spell as conservation director.

He has written a number of books including ‘Fighting for Birds’, an account of the state of nature conservation in the UK. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.

The talk, at Victoria Hall, Sheffield, will take place on Thursday, September 25, from 6pm.

Refreshments will be available after the presentation, before the official AGM begins.

Anyone wishing to attend the AGM should email or call 0114 263 4335.
