TRAINING facilities for Sheffield’s guide dogs have been revamped with the help of a group of volunteers.
Young people from the Prince’s Trust team programme at Norton College, Dyche Lane, Sheffield renovated an obstacle course at the city’s Outreach Mobility Unit as part of a personal development scheme.
The training area was in need of work as it had become completely overgrown and had accumulated moss, bricks and rubble. The team cleaned the overgrown course completely, leaving it free for obstacles.
Mick Roberts, a lecturer at Norton College, said: “This has been a great opportunity for the young people in the team to work together for a very worthwhile organisation.”
