Every little helps for Sheffield charity trek

SUPERMARKET giant Tesco has stepped in to help Star journalists taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in aid of the £5m St Luke’s Hospice reconstruction appeal.

Richard Marsden and Simon Waller were invited to the Infirmary Road store to collect a trolley-load of supplies - presented by Carol Gollick, store charity and community champion and wages clerk Helen Starkey.

Carol said: “Staff at our store are always keen to get involve with charity work and support the local community wherever we can.

“When we heard that about the challenge we were more than happy to help out with a donation. We wish all taking part the best of luck.”

Donations to the team’s JustGiving site are now approaching £1,000 with gift aid.
