Keep it simple.

What’s your favourite dish?

Given the choice in a restaurant I’ll go with a nice medium steak and chips.

I like white wine at the moment so something dry and chilled.

Your favourite restaurant in the Sheffield area?

We’re always really well looked after in Café Rouge in the Peace Gardens when we go out with the kids.

And pub?

I’ve spent more hours of my life in the Waggon and Horses in Millhouses (many working) than I care to remember so I’ll say there.

What’s the worst meal you’ve ever had?

When I was travelling years ago I used to make myself noodle sandwiches. I didn’t mind but looking back it was a little bit sad.

And the best?

It’s good. Restaurant owners and staff work very hard and deserve our support.
