Are you a cook?

Yes I really enjoy cooking however with a mum who is a trained professional chef, you feel like your culinary delights are less delightful and more like an edible substance on a plate.

Any cooking tips?

Sweet chilli sauce makes everything better.

What’s your favourite dish?

I love brunch. Normally some variation on avocado and poached eggs.

And a drink to go with it?

It’s a cliche but nothing beats a good cup of tea.

Your favourite restaurants in the Sheffield area?

Homemade in Nether Edge for brunch or Bistro Pierre for a good steak frites.

And pub?

The Sheffield Tap, great decor and they even host the Yorkshire Wine School so I can look like a wine pro in front of my friends.

What’s the worst meal you’ve ever had?

I once did a job where a group of 16 year olds had to cook for me as their camp leader. I was subject to a very questionable sweet and sour dish.

And the best?

I know everyone thinks their mum is the best cook, but I still dream about the time she made a delectible beef wellington for my birthday.

Your favourite TV cook?

Having gone to university in Newcastle, the Hairy Bikers fill the friendly Geordie-shaped hole in my life.

What do you think of Sheffield as a place to eat out?

There are some great spots and i’m currently loving Made by Jonty and Tamper for modern, fresh food.
