Are you a cook?

Yes – it's a great way to unwind and be creative.

Any cooking tips?

Add a little mustard, soy sauce, a stock cube and a dash of Henderson’s relish for a lovely rich Bolognese.

What’s your favourite dish?

Thai green curry with tempura prawns. I love the fresh flavours and ingredients.

And a drink to go with it?

Red wine – anything beginning with an ‘M’!

Your favourite restaurant in the Sheffield area?

I recently went to Gigi’s Cucina at Nether Green: great atmosphere, stunning lighting and beautifully cooked food.

And pub?

The Beer House micro pub on Ecclesall Road. They have some great local real ales and I like the concept.

What’s the worst meal you’ve ever had?

On holiday in Thailand, I had a curry that was so hot even the slightest taste set my mouth on fire. I had to leave the whole thing, which was very upsetting as I usually have a clean plate!

And the best?

It has to be Fischer’s Baslow Hall for my husband’s birthday meal: private dining room and the most amazing, tantalising food.

Your favourite TV cook?

Those Hairy Bikers, so down to earth and likeable.

What do you think of Sheffield as a place to eat out?

Lots to offer and lots of new restaurants with different types of cuisine popping up.
