A building which formerly housed a Doncaster bank has been sold at auction for £625,000 - more than double it’s guide price.
The old NatWest Bank building at Bawtry, which closed in May, was sold at Pugh’s Yorkshire property auction earlier this month
The building had a guide price of £270,000, but fetched £625,000.
Paul Thompson, managing director of Pugh auction house, said: “As usual, the Yorkshire auction this week was extremely busy, which was reflected in the high level of interest in this property.
“The bank in Bawtry was in a central location within a sought after village, so presents an exciting opportunity to be redeveloped.”
