Former South Yorkshire bank and a Salvation Army hall among items sold at auction

A former salvation army hall is among a string of South Yorkshire properties which have gone under the hammer in Sheffield.

The Salvation Army Corps Hall, on Darnall Road, Darnall, sold for £206,000 at an action run by Sheffield-based auctioneers Mark Jenkinson & Son.

The building, which features two main halls and ancillary accommodation, sold above its guide price of £175,000.

Among the other 25 properties sold at the auction, at Bramall Lane, included a two-bedroom flat and takeaway on Abbeydale Road – which fetched £110,000 – and a former bank building, in Parkgate, Rotherham, which fetched £55,000.
