An interactive ‘magic carpet’ has been unveiled at a revamped children’s charity.

The £10,000 facility has been installed at Amy’s House in Handsworth, a respite centre for families with children who have special needs, thanks to fundraisers.

It forms part of a hi-tech sensory room and other features – including a cinema room with iPads and computer games, as well as a changing room – for young people to use.

The facilities were given a grand opening with families and supporters attending.
