Shake-up in city drug and alcohol services

A reorganisation of services to help people with drug and alcohol problems is being planned in Sheffield.

It aims to give residents with substance misuse problems access to help more easily while promoting independence and self-help.

The council’s Drug and Alcohol Coordination Team carried out an eight week consultation with the public, health officials and other agencies.

A streamlining of services also aims to help save money on building and infrastructure costs.
