SHEFFIELD men have the third largest waistlines of people in any British city, according to a survey.
Website Fits.me says the average Sheffield man’s middle is now 91.52cm, or just more than 36 inches.
Birmingham is the worst, at 92.06cm, followed by Belfast, which has an average of 91.68cm.
The average British male waistline is 91.16cm, while the trimmest men in the UK can be found in Brighton, at 89.12cm.
The figures come from analysis of the measurements of men who have submitted their own measurements to one of Fits.me’s virtual fitting rooms, used by brands including Adidas, Pretty Green and Thomas Pink, to help customers buy the right size when shopping online.
