TV presenter and model Melanie Sykes and pal Vikki Flynn are to stop off at Meadowhall as part of their charity ice cream van tour – raising funds for families affected by autism.
And we’re giving one lucky reader and a guest the chance to be the first in the queue to be served by her.
Melanie and Vikki, who both have sons on the Autistic Spectrum, will be stopping off at the shopping centre this Saturday between 9am and noon.
They are to sell their ice creams in aid of charity and to promote awareness of the condition.
X Factor finalist Jade Ellis and Misunderstood will also be lending their support.
Melanie, aged 43, who launched her career in TV ads for Boddingtons in the mid-90s, was the host of Today with Des and Mel and Let’s Do Lunch With Gino and Mel.
She said: “We are really excited about visiting Meadowhall during the tour and would like to thank them for their support.
“We are raising money to support early intervention. The lives of children diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum can be changed dramatically.”
The fundraising duo will begin their journey from John O’Groats and travel through Inverness, Glasgow, Blackpool, Manchester, Castleford, Meadowhall shopping centre, Milton Keynes, Weston Super Mare, Newquay and finally to Land’s End.
Meadowhall event manager Alex Caley said: “We’re delighted Melanie and Vikki’s tour is stopping off at Meadowhall and wish them the best of luck in their journey.
“It’s set to be a great day with various celebrities pledging their support as well as a team of face painters and children’s favourites including Silly Billy joining the line up.”
